So apparently under my "Missing Documents" Tab of the candidate portal, it says "Current Scores below Minimum Requirement" does this mean that my application will no longer be considered for admission? Whats going to happen to my application? Pls..

It could also mean that they haven't received the scores yet.

If it doesn't say Denied, I think you're still in the game. There is an ACT composite minimum also. Call admissions or your field rep.

DS is in same boat, under "Missing Documents" tab of the candidate portal, it says "Current Scores below Minimum Requirement". We too are hoping that he is still "in the game". Does anyone know if USMMA will accept ACT scores after the 3/1 application deadline?

I had similar questions and chose to call my admissions officer. All questions answered in one phone call.

What did they say?
I was sent an email from admissions via our USMMA liaison which said that any additional grades can be updated until 1 March deadline but ACT and SAT scores are completed at this time. I would call to be sure. Good luck

If your scores are below minimums you are not a candidate. If none if your scores will meet the minimum even when super scored the you will not make it. They accept documents up until 3/1. For further and most accurate, up to date information I would encourage you to call.

Then I guess we should expect our DS to receive a "TWE" soon after the 3/1 application deadline.
Thank you for the information.

My DD had below minimum until she took in December. They updated it quickly when she got her scores up. If you don't have minimum scores by the FIRST TEST of the year you are applying, then you are not a candidate. This is usually January or early February test dates. There is minimum for math, minimum for English and minimum COMPOSITE. If your child did the writing part, scores are usually held up. We had that problem when applying to MOC and had to send her previous scores. They don't release scores until everything is in, even though you can see your scores online.

If all requirements are met, including receiving a nomination, EXCEPT minimum scores, will USMMA recommend the prep school? How are sponsorships to the prep initiated?

There is no wiggle room with minimum scores. My son met scores (but late- February) after appointments went out, and was offered sponsored prep school. Message me with any questions!

Make sure the Admissions Office know that you are interested in the prep school. My DS is at the prep school and it was a great decision. Good luck.

When do you tell admissions you are interested in prep school? After you get TWE?

They make that determination. No special application or request in needed.

When we visited. Admissions asked if anyone was interested in the prep school and my son raised his hand. (there were only two kids that raised their hand out of a group of 20) I would suggest having your DS/DD call or email admissions and let them know they are interested. Yes, admissions will make the determination, but it is important for them to know you're interested.

Through my experience, I just received my appointment this year. Last year, I did not get in because my ACT score (just the English score) was a 23. That little thing disqualified me from an appointment. To answer your question, you will quickly receive a letter saying you did not get in if that is still the case. It's rough. I was there too a year ago. However, make the most of the situation! Go to a university and do ROTC because the USMMA really likes to see that on your second application. And with that, reapply the next year. This is something you do not want to give up. It's only a year of your life to go to a university, and so far, I have valued this situation very much! I have learned very much and gained valuable tools from a college perspective that I'm hoping should help me a lot when it comes to time management at KP. Anyways, I wish you the best of luck!
