This may work to your advantage...hang on. It's hard, but some will wait even longer than April 15th. Waitlisters may be lingering until June. It happens every year.

Maybe, maybe not. Depends on how busy/behind schedule they are. Last year I was notified of waitlist status 5ish days after the deadline if I remember correctly (by mail).

Agree with Andrew. My son was notified at the end of April 2008. Longest two weeks ever, waiting for that letter.
 
if you didn't receive an appointment and got the dreaded TWE, is there still hopes of maybe being put on a waitlist? or is getting that TWE the end all be all for this year?
 
There is a waiting list...but I wouldn't put too much hope in it. They put a lot of kids on it and few make it to R-day...just trying to be realistic.
 
TWE today. Dissappointing but on to Plan B where I know my DS will do very well. Good Luck to All in the class of 2015!!!
 
My DD spoke with her AO at the Academy today. Although he said he was not at his desk (and couldn't check her status at the moment), she inquired about being notified after the 15th. He replied that all notifications were to be mailed out tomorrow. So... whatever happens will. Still hanging on! :thumb: Good luck to everyone still waiting!!

A big wait is over.

The lad just received an CGA Scholars appointment. Never a bigger smile have I witnessed. For those of you waiting. Deep breath, positive thinking and I'm going to go cry for a while.:yllol:
 
One journey complete, another start

Son just called. Today he received his USCGA appointment via the Scholar's program. I strongly recommend it to anyone who gets the opportunity.

Class of 2015 here he comes. :thumb:
 
TWE for DS received today, dated April 11th. Disappointing as he was an AIMster last year and really wanted to continue the experience as a Swab. He has an excellent Plan "B", so it's time to execute! Good luck to the rest of you waiting to hear the news!!
 
Scholars received their appointments today. Estimate is 50 scholars got appointments...definitely a way to go if you have the opportunity

Does anyone know if all the scholars were notified by mail, phone, or both?
 
CGA Scholars appointments

It has been awhile since I have posted, we were going through what alot of you are now, last year at this time. Until you get that TWE it is not over. My DS was on the wait list then made it the the top of the wait list and then received a CGA Scholarship in late May last year and has been at MMI. My DS called today and yes the Scholars at MMI received word on getting the official appointment via an announcement by their advisor CMDR Meisemheimer. My DS will be joining the class of 2015. Needless to say he is very happy. For those of you who have received word on a CGAS appointment it is nothing but positive for their future. Keep your grades up and stay out of trouble and you have an appointment. It has been a long year with ups and downs but overall for my DS the best thing that could happen to him. He will hit Swab summer with feet on the ground.:smile: If you would like to PM me I can give you some insight on his time at MMI from a parent perspective.
 
I have been waitlisted today in CT...Can anyone offer any helpful advice to possibly end up recieving an appointment?
