I am NOT a "fan" of the American obsession with celebrity. I think it shows a serious weakness we as a people possess. To call "sports/television/music/etc.," celebrities "Hero's" really rubs me the wrong way.
So you can imagine how surprised I was when I read the following posting by Justin Timberlake on his attending the USMC Birthday Ball with the young marine that invited him with a YouTube video.
I don't know Justin Timberlake; I can't even tell you any song of his, etc. But I think this young man has a decent appreciation for our military and what they do. From what he wrote, it seems even he was impressed by the folks he met and how "down to earth" they are and how passionate in what they do.
I was impressed by his writeup.
