Do the required military science courses get calculated into an AROTC cadets gpa for purposes of OML regardless of whether or not the college recognizes the grade in the official GPA on transcript?

It's been discussed on here before, but it depends on the school. My school does, but it may depend on the relationship ROTC has with the school. FWIW, the military science department at my school has more than just the required ROTC classes. We offer classes like Basic Rifle Marksmanship, Advanced RM, Outdoor Skill and Fieldcraft, etc.

Thanks the reason I ask, for my own curiosity. When reading about this OML process it states "GPA to include all military science courses." My D does not get credit for any milsc courses which were taken freshman year and the credits are not applied either. Just wondering as a friend of hers at another college does get credit

From what I have heard from cadets that in your D's situation is that the Battalion figures the MS class GPA into the College GPA when loading the data for the OMS. It would be a good idea to have you D talk to her cadre about how they deal with the GPA's.
