On Board America's Tall Ship

Haha, Ole Dirty Bird! With OCs during their summer camp...:wink:

Wes Pulver was our assistant commandant of cadets. EAGLE's Ops is my best friend's brother (a friend I will be rocking the golf course with this year, before homecoming... he invited me up from DC even though it isn't our class reunion year).

I think cadets (and maybe to a lesser extent OCs) have a strange love-hate relationship with EAGLE. But no matter how they feel about EAGLE at any time, it is definitely a unique experience. I will never forget the rolling in the North Atlantic (feels different on EAGLE), the smells or the water (just felt salty everyday).

When I was a swab the messdeck was set up differently, with tables build stbd to port. So, if we over too far, and you put your cup down, it would go flying all the way to the bulkhead (you did not want to be the guy or gal near the bulkhead.... bug juice was coming!)

"Constitution" did some sea recently as the oldest? Towed part way but under sail for a part way.
