With DS at NMMI, this news story caught my eye in this morning’s paper. “Fearless Felix” Baumgartner plans to break the sound barrier SKYDIVING at 690 mph next Monday over the desert near Roswell, New Mexico – wonder if the NMMI cadets out for PT might be eye (and ear?!) witnesses to this crazy deal?!!
Found this online story about it too: http://www.foxnews.com/science/2012...-for-sound-barrier-in-23-mile-high-free-fall/

It will be interesting to see what kind of modifications the aliens made on him during his abduction...

looks like the supersonic skydiving adventure is delayed because of weather...the wind speed can't be greater than 6 mph on account of the balloon's fragility - tomorrow (Oct. 9 - Tuesday) is the revised date of launch.

Winds are supposed to be non-existent in Roswell tomorrow (Sunday, October 14) morning - so the supersonic skydive is scheduled...again...for liftoff. They're targeting 8 AM Eastern Time for the launch of the balloon that'll take Felix B. in his capsule to the 23 mile high jump-off point. It's supposed to take 3 hours for the balloon to ascend to the jump height. Crazy adventure in the skies over Roswell!! NMMI Barracks – front row seat!! A little while ago, DS took a picture right outside his room - white dot in the blue New Mexico sky as the balloon makes its ascent.
