Open portal on July 1

:confused: Until yesterday, I was seeing a message that said something like "earliest evaluations for prospective 2019 students will not be open until August 13" but I received an email this morning notifying me that my portal is now open. Is there a reason why my portal is open before August 13? I'm not complaining, but I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this.
 
More than likely some sort of miscommuncation between the Admissions office and the IT department or a change to the plan.

If your portal is open, start working on your application.
 
Same situation here. The earlier the better anyway. Good luck to you on completing your application!

When I went on portal after I received e-mail yesterday that it was open it was indeed open, when I checked back later in the day it had the old screen up and had the message that it would not be open until August 13th for most candidates. Anyone else have this problem or is it just me? Thank you very much.
 
I am in the same boat, my second step kit was open yesterday, 01 July, and i started working on it. When I opened my portal today, 02 July, it is closed and I see the 13 August message too. Whats up with this?
 
Mine was the same... Was wondering if there's something I'm missing because the "portal" does not have the same lists of why they need like the other academy portals
