So since the application window for SLS has opened, I payed a visit to my school counciler and requested my GPA and Class rank. I got my GPA (10.13/12 :D ). but she told me that the class was not ranked yet, and will not be until the beginning of my senior year. I am a junior now, and trying to open a candidate file-- but it demands my class rank which is clearly unavailable. Is there any way to do this without class rank?

Also I took the december 5 SAT test, and cannot retrieve my results until this coming Monday. Am I correct in assuming that I should wait until Monday to fill out and submit my forms? Or can I update it?

as for class rank, my school does not rank. When I applied to SLS last year, approximating class rank was acceptable. But you do need to put in something. Make sure to note that in the additional comments section.

As for SAT, i don't think you can submit it without a test score put in. You can put in an earlier score from PSAT/ACT/SAT and then update your file with your Dec 5 score. If this is your first test, then i think you have to wait.

Some schools rank in your Junior year and a couple of months into your senior year. The school my son went to the first three years had a class rank Junior year, and the school he now attends for his senior year ranks by % top 10% 20% etc, rather than number. I beleive they also take % ranking. Also with regards to your Sat score, just wait and give them your score after you receive it from the college board. When you open your second file, you will be required to have the college board send an official copy anyway. You are a junior you have some time. My son he is a senior, did not apply until late September this year and had his LOA and Nomination by November. The main thing is get everything right. Hope this helps.

Thanks, everyone that cleared things up. I appreciate it.
