Hi,
I had orthodontics on lower teeth placed 5 months ago, after DODMERB physical, to straighten out a 'snaggle tooth' and they are being removed next month. My orthodontist wanted to know if I want a fixed retainer placed in my mouth (behind my front teeth) or a removable mouth piece for sleeping. Are there any restrictions at the SA's concerning retainers placed in permanently? Anh help Mr. Mullen would be great. Thanks

i was also curious about this because i have a fixed retainer behind my lower front teeth and its been there since start of high school. Mine could probably be removed so it wouldnt cause too many problems

A removable retainer (used only at night) or a permanent retainer (behind the teeth) are not an issue.
