ds had a "left medial distal femur osteochondroma" removed by outpatient surgery when he was 14. there was no evidence of other osteochondromas which might indicate osteochondromatosis - which is listed as a disqualifying condition on the dodmerb list.
first of all, has anyone experienced this type of concern on their dodmerb exam?
ds is a junior and will be turning in an NROTC scholarship app here in a few months as well as applying to acadamies.
in preparation for this summer, should I go ahead and ask the dr. who did the surgery for a final report of some kind from that time period? I kept the papers which were given to me, like the pathology report stating no malignancy, etc. but wonder if this is enough to prove no osteochondromatosis?
he went on to run track and cross country after this surgery with absolutely no problems btw.
