Hey there folks...

So, I am rather concerned about something. My SAT math and ACT SR have brackets around them...

Does this mean that I'm in a tough spot, or just have no chance for appointment all together?

Thanks again,
Akrogan

Yes, 3 noms, one from Senator, one from Congressman, and Presidential.

SAT is:
700 Reading
670 Writing
<<540 Math>>

ACT is:
32 Reading
25 English
25 Math
<<24 SR>>
Combined English/Writing 25

Maybe, but I suggest you take your SATs and ACTs again since you have until March to submit them (my ALO told me that). Your profile looks competitive, you may get in, the brackets mean that those scores are "at risk scores"

Congrats on everything else though! 3 noms are great and most if your scores look very high

Thanks!

I did retake SAT, but not ACT, as the ACT scores wouldn't arrive in time...

Now we hope!

Again,
Thanks

I would add, that in the case of someone not being academically qualified, there is always the chance of prep school. So even if you can't get the score up there is still a "chance".

Akrogan, my regional commander told me that 560 was the cutoff for SAT scores. Anything lower was considered "at risk." My score was stuck at a 540, so I ended up taking the test 6 times to get it up. It just takes some work. (I'm a recent appointee, and my scores are almost identical to yours)

PM me if you have any questions!!

My ACT looked almost identical to those, the brackets are definitely a problem maybe not fatal though, I would do whatever you can to remove those ASAP. It all depends on the applicant overall. If you blew the CFA out of the water, or have amazing leadership in extra curriculars, and/or involvement JROTC or CAP. They may weigh that heavily on your application and give you a chance.

You seem to be a great candidate for Falcon Foundation, that is what I received.

If you do get a Falcon Foundation Scholarship, go to Northwestern Prep.
