On sons ROTC application we had added that he had earned college credits while in high school, did not think anything of it at the time. I just checked sons status, have not in a couple of weeks..because it never changes..but apparently it did at some point because it says there is a problem because he has earned college credits and the ROTC programs is for 4 years. I'm so mad about us not checking it earlier - nothing has been sent to us about this, We have even had email correspondance in the past week with CC and nothing was mentioned.

I have left urgent email for CC staff, of course with the holiday I don't know when to expect to hear from them. There was a number to call, of course cannot find it, could someone please share that with us, we can then call monday AM if someone is there. Thanks for any input.

Was able to calm down and find number earlier and got message to call back on Tuesday, at least I know someone will be there then to look at this. Just wanted to know if anyone else out there ever had this problem, son has been taking dual credit classes since last year, it's pretty much the honors track in his school to do so..I'm under the assumption lots of kids are earning college credits while in HS..never thought it would affect receiving a scholarship.

OK...I complained about this last year, and was told that the file would go forward to the board even though there were college credits. What you need to do is submit a statement to Cadet Command (I suggest emailing train2lead and also your POC at Cadet Command) stating that your son intends to enroll in a full 4 year program. IMHO this is kind of stupid, but it's not a show stopper. Hopefully nothing has changed since last year, since the deadline for the second board was the 20th.
    Good luck and Happy Holidays!
