Parent's Weekend Issue

Hmmm, there are a lot of issues here.

Going into my cadets' 3 degree year, I would be much more likely to share them than I would have been last year. But the hotel deal too? No way here. I could see the smoke erupting from fencersfather's ears at the suggestion!
 
There's quite a legal aspect to an 18 year old dating a minor. My friend in the court system tells horror stories of teens being charged with sex crimes ... even when not substatiated/consenting and such and forever being labled a sex offender because he was 18 and she 16 ...!!! Tell your son to beware ... not because he HAS done anything ... but the courts may not agree
 
Wow is all I can say - I've read this and I'm just thinking I can't help recall that scene in the Movie Animal House with Larry aka Pinto and the girl from the supermarket he invites to the frat party - definately make sure DS understands the age of consent in the State of Maryland is 16 and his GF is two years under it, especially if he is 18. Neither the State Courts or the UCMJ will be his friend...

My friend is in the legal system also. She told me the same thing about young men having to register as sex offenders because of the age thing.
