Houston, We have a problem. DS has a blue passport. He needs a red for CULP. DS sent all paperwork and blue passport back in Feb. to get a red one to go along with the blue. Neither have been returned. DS called the National Passport Information Center last week and they told him it was mailed April 30th. He has yet to receive it. And it was mailed priority. He has a passport locator number but no tracking number for the package has been issued. He's been trying to stay on top of things, but now I'm starting to worry. He emailed and was sent an automated reply stating that the website was unable to reference his application due to website issues. There was a number attached to the email. So he called that number and got an automated message. Of course, no human on the other side. Anyone else has experience with this situation? Any suggestions on the steps he should take from here? He only has about 20 days before he leaves.
