Would it be an assett for a entering cadet to have a passport?

    Think so

The instructions to appointees request that proof of citizenship be brought, for which a passport works. Once first year ends, some (or many) cadets are given the opportunity to travel abroad, for which a passport is necessary. So, my guess is that it's a good idea and our son is bringing his.

I'd go ahead and get one, but I wouldn't bring it to inprocessing. No need for it in the first year.
