So I had mild - severe acne about a year and a half ago and was put on accutane to clear it up. The acne went away and I only have a few scars on my face and back now. Could I get a dq for this even though I haven't had bad acne now for over a year? Thanks.

Also, I've obviously been off accutane for over eight weeks so accutane use wouldn't be a problem right?

You should be fine. The standard is written to DQ people with bad, active acne to the point it would interfere with the wearing of equipment, or that requires ongoing treatment with accutane. If you've finished treatment, some scars will not DQ you.

From the standard: 22. SKIN AND CELLULAR TISSUES a. Current diseases of sebaceous glands including severe and or cystic acne (706), or hidradenitis suppurativa (704-705), if extensive involvement of the neck, scalp, axilla, groin, shoulders, chest, or back is present or shall be aggravated by or interfere with the proper wearing of military equipment. Applicants under treatment with systemic retinoids, including, but not limited to isotretinoin (Accutane®), do not meet the standard until 8 weeks after completion of therapy. (Bold is mine)

So you comment to Acne Yes would be something like you stated. Mild to Severe Acne from xx/xx to xx/xx Prescribed Accutane from XX/XX to XX/XX. Condition resolved, no recurrence.

If that is the case you should be good to go.
