On Monday, May 6th, the Office of Congressman Darin LaHood will host the 2019 Peoria Academy Night located at the 182nd Airlift Wing - 2416 South Falcon Blvd. Peoria, IL 61607. On Tuesday, May 7th, the Offices of Congressmen Darin LaHood and Rodney Davis will co-host the 2019 Springfield Academy Night located at the 183rd Wing - 3101 J. David Jones Parkway, Springfield, IL 62707. Feel free to share the attached program flyers with anyone interested in attending a US Service Academy.
These meetings are open to all high school students, parents, school administrators and guidance counselors. The purpose is to educate students on general information about the US Service Academies, how to begin and successfully complete the application process, how to prepare for the Candidate Fitness Assessment (CFA) and the congressional nomination process. This is an excellent opportunity for students that have an interest in serving their country and learn how to begin the college application process. This meeting is held annually for students interested in attending any of the following prestigious education institutions:
Those interested in attending these meetings must RSVP no later than May 3, 2019 by telephone at (309) 671-7027 or by email at michael.gilmore@mail.house.gov (this includes all Academy representatives and congressional staff). Due to military installation security, please provide the complete names and dates of birth for those attending.
