Can anyone provide guidance on personal computers -- specifically internet? I understand that they cannot connect to WiFi or any servers with any personal devices -- understandable security measures.

What do Cadets use/ what is authorized for internet connection for personal (non-issue) laptops?

Some of them use a wireless hot spot with a booster. But that really depends on the quality of the wireless providers in their particular room. It can be a bit pricey if that is a road your cadet chooses to take.

When visiting I met a c3c in Arnold Hall making use of the wyfi on his personal non-issue computer. This isn't convenient for c4c I imagine, but possible.

They can hook their personal non-issue computer to the wyfi BUT they have to have special software installed by the USAFA and their access to internet sites etc. will still be limited.

Just for clarification...you can use a personal or school computer (or phone, other wifi-enabled device) on the wifi at A-Hall. That's different than the wifi in the Cadet Area and doesn't require any interaction with 10 CS or other USAFA agencies.
