Waterfront competition

How does anyone know 4th company won the waterfront competion?

The waterfront site is a great one to bookmark. Do you think they will still be allowed to make calls? It is after 2130. I think that is the last window for calls.
 
Just got Phone Call

I am not sure about the other companies, but our son in 3rd Company just called and we talked for 20 minutes. He says they had up to 30 minutes to talk and no one was listening in this time. I hope those of you waiting get a call!
 
What we have here is failure to communicate.....from one of my favorite movies.........

Well.......... it's 2100 hrs. no call..... careful what you wish for....
( I had said earlier the "No Call" folks were lucky since our son was sick and called a couple of times!)

KPG2013 & aobrad, we didn't get a phone call from our son in band company either. I was so looking forward to skyping, but that is not allowed now. bummer. Maybe it will be a privilege. I can see how for some it might not be helpful. Oh well, that's the way it is. I hear we can IM though.:wink:
 
No call here from 1st company.
I understood earlier no IM but they could use skype- now no skype and no care packages with food?? I hope somebody besides me has already sent a care package with treats in it! Don't want my PC to be the only one paying the price.
 
I'm sending off cookies tomorrow. My PC wanted me to send them sooner (I'm late at getting them baked) so they must not get into too much trouble for goodies sent during indoc. Even though indoc is over now I'm still sending enough for all of Band Co. just in case! :shake:
 
Food

My son said PCs had 30 minutes to eat the food in the package. After 30 minutes, the DIs took the package and ate it. He said he only took one package of Lifesavers, and they took the rest (cookies and treats). He said, "DO NOT SEND FOOD. I CAN'T EAT IT. PLEASE SEND SCHOOL SUPPLIES ASAP. SOME OF THE KIDS HAVE POWDERED DRINK MIX IN THEIR ROOM. THAT'S OKAY."
 
Is that true for after indoc as well? That doesn't sound like sharing with the whole company, sounds like trying to make someone gorge so they don't have to share, yikes! Okay, I'm not sure what to do now! He's the one that asked for them surely he knows what happens when someone receives a package of cookies or other treats by now.
 
No food yet

I only know what my son told me. He said do not send food, because he can't eat it. He said he needs school supplies. (My son loves food, cookies, and candy, and he was serious. He said he will write me when he needs or wants something. I will let everyone know.)
 
I'll hold off on sending cookies for now. He has been in sick bay so may not know about the school supplies needed yet. I'm happy to send what he needs. Just so hard sometimes to know what to send or not send! At least we can write them letters.
 
Playing a sport?

Last year once INDOC was over and my son got his Box number. We were able to send some food items. He would take them to his sporrts locker and not to his dorm room. That way he was able to visit his sports locker when he wanted one item :smile:
 
Our DD said she could only have healthy snacks. Her request was to send cookies to the cookie cafe.
 
The one your supposed to email with questions about the cookie cafe is on vacation at this time. So I'm figuring it's too early to send cookies to the cafe anyway. Dang! :frown:

So does anyone know when the PC's get a box number? Heard that mail will get to them faster once they have been assigned one.

Eventually these kids get really good at finding places to stash their contraband and the upper classmen already know where not to look. After all, they were once PCs themselves. Give it time, your kids will tell you what to send and when. They are not starving and nobody is forcing them to eat MREs.
