i'm going to NASS this summer and I definitely know that I won't be using my phone during the day at all but I was just wondering if it was worth it to bring like a charger for my cellular device or anything, because I know that we have a tiny bit of free time before TAPS. Any advice?

My son took his and used it. It's great for getting contacts, etc. Your folks would probably like to hear from you too! Congrats!! You will love it.

They are completely allowed, and don't get taken away. However, it's not recommended to carry them around during the day(may get lost, wet, etc).

While there is certainly nothing wrong in taking your phone to NASS or CVW, make sure it doesn't become a distraction from why you are there. If you notice many people in public nowadays, they seem to be constantly tapping out texts and/or reading emails, surfing the internet, etc. while ignoring those they are with. Better to put the phone away so you can focus on this once in a lifetime oppportunity at NASS and/or CVW to see if the military might be the path you want your life to take. Spend the majority of your time in the various activities offered and maximize your interaction with your peers and mids who are around.
