Hi all,

I've just completed my PFT for AROTC and I haven't found any information as to how my scores are regarded in terms of scoring, and what others score (averages, min/max etc.). I know that the PFT is a smaller portion of my app, but I would still like to know how well I am in regards of my physical state. Does anyone have an idea of the average socres that go through for AROTC and how they are scored?

My Scores:
Pushups:46
Situps:51
1 Mile: 5:47 (I just ran 5:50 today in the first mile of a 5k, so its coming down quick)

I've dug around a bit to try to find some information regarding my curiosities and could not find anything that hits the nail on the head. If you know a link that can give me good insight, that would be great.

From what I recall, there generally haven't been any sort of benchmark information released regarding the PFA. But basing off of your numbers and what I was told for my PFA, you have a pretty solid score. Being an XC runner will definitely give you a leg up when you actually take your APFT.

What I did was search out the Presidents Fitness Test in Google. Somewhere you'll find a chart with the different age groups and what qualifies you to be in the President, National, and Participant bracket. From what it looks like, I'd say you did pretty good. My interviewer said my scores were excellent, and I got 58 push-ups, 50 sit-ups, and a 6:07 mile. Plus, doing sports also shows that your active.
