Hi, I've been wondering for some time if West Point has a piano department (not sure if this is the right word)? I wish to continue playing the piano at the academy, but if not, oh well . Any insight please? Thank you!

There is a piano in the library but there is often a line during cadet free time (little there is). You can play if you make time to get to it when there is little demand. For the past several years an old grad has paid to have a maestro from NYC come up on Sundays and give lessons to selected cadets who previously played and made the cut. They then have a recital each year sometimes along with the strings. I am told they send an email out in the fall for selection. One of the "P's" in the Arabic department sets it up.

I've been wondering the same thing! That's good though, it would be rough not being able to play around every once in a while.
