PLEASE RESPOND AS LOAs COME IN

Thank you

Just got an email from the Great Lakes Regional Commander:

"You are in great shape and I recommend you watch your mailbox for any official word from us. I've checked everything in your application and it looks great - well done!

Hang tight and be patient. You're doing all the right things."

Seems like a good sign!

I swear the US Postal service gets letters out in 3 business days... what is taking so long if they were dated 8/31?

Another guy said that there is an Incoming and Ougoing mail service at West Point that the mail must pass through first so it's going to take some time.

Have not received an LOA.

However there was a technical difficulty and for some reason my CAR and my academic request form were not able to be sent until like three days ago :/ I gave them to my principal middle of last month however the school system bugged out and we barely figured out that she had to send it from her home computer two days ago. I'm really bummed I couldn't get it done by the first deadline...

Please read my other two posts. The distribution center at West Point is not the US Mail. It is a base operation.

Has there been any indication of there being another LOA window sometime in the future?

LOAs just started to come out so dont be antsy if its late getting to your mail box.

whoops, I take back my statement I made in my other post about LOAs. I guess they only have a limited time frame for distribution. :frown:

Does anyone know if ALL of the LOAs were mailed out yesterday? Or are they mailing them out in increments starting with yesterday?

I was contacted by the WP coach of my sport that I received one on sept 6, and the LOA itself was mailed out last monday.

Did you receive a physical letter yet or just word of mouth? People want to know whether the mail pool has been processed yet and if people are receiving this mail.

Well the post office was closed on monday, so they probably got sent out on tuesday and it takes, say about three days to get to where I live from NY. The mail person didn't deliver mail on saturday so I'm expecting it by monday. The coach said that if I didn't get it by this coming tuesday then I should give them a heads up incase it got lost. But I have a friend who has received his physically already. Nothing to do but wait really.

Waiting game indeed, but as soon as there is an indication of mail delivery near NY, people in distant parts of the continent will have a better estimate at potential arrival. :)

Speak of the devil; I just talk to an SLS squadmate who lives in New York... he got his LOA on saturday. THEY'RE ON THEIR WAY!!!!

Per West Point:
LOAs were sent on 1 September but mail is VERY slow going out of WP as it has to go through a distribution process.

Good news: Those in NY started receiving LOA letters on Saturday.
The rest of the country (which is most of you) - should be in hand in a day or two. :thumb:
