Plebe Parent - Army / Navy Tickets

I could use some help in getting pointed in the right direction. I read somewhere, that when my son (Class of 2013) received his permit to report packet, there would be instructions on how to purchase tickets to the Army / Navy game. Did I misunderstand this?

Do any parents of former plebes know what the process is to obtain tickets for the Army / Navy game as a incoming Plebe Parent?

A second question - does the Permit to Report packet contain my Plebe's Alpha number? This is needed to purchase tickets on-line ( I believe). If so, where can I find it?

Can't remember about the Alpha number in the permit to report. You will recieve information regarding Army/Navy tickets in the Permit To Report Package. It is the first and only time you will go to the head of the line. As a Plebe Parent you will be able to purchase four tickets to Army/Navy prior to upperclass Midshipmen or anyone else. Tickets will be upper deck but well worth the expense if you want to go. It is a great experience. Just hope the President does not attend. If he does you will wait in looooooong security lines. Alumni Association Tailgate is also a great deal. As a parent you can join for four years. They put on a great spread before the game.
 
Plebe parents will get a letter about Army/Navy tickets. They have tickets set aside for parents of plebes. Ours were upper deck, but were great seats. We were right in line with our son's company. He was guidon so it made him easy to spot. We ordered our tickets as soon as the letter came in early June. The tickets are mailed out about two weeks before the game.
 
Thanks - I didn't see the ticket info in the permit to report package - I'll look for it in early June...
 
Thinking back 2012mom is correct. The letter came after the permit to report.
