Ask him if he uses his Tri-Care health insurance as primary or if he uses his school system health insurance as primary?
If he uses his school system as primary, than how can he defend Tri-Care as a model? FYI: People who have 2 health insurance providers have the option of which one is primary.
If he is a true liberal, here's a question to see where he truly stands. It goes back to Obama and spreading the wealth comment to Joe the Plumber. Does he spread the wealth when it comes to the grading system? A true liberal would want equality amongst all, regardless of their station in life.
How does he rectify giving a C to a student who tries their hardest, but an A to another student where it comes easy to them?
Our DS (now a rising JR in college) took APUSH as a JR in HS. He never studied, pulled an A, got a 5 on the AP. Our DD studied her butt off, pulled B's and got a 4. Under a liberal thought of spread the wealth, both should have received a B. That would be the fair thing. Ask him if he has failed a student. If he has, how can he justify it? 10 will get you 20 his defense will be they did not work to his level. How is that creating equality if he is the one who deems the level?
Life isn't fair, our system is not based on "spreading the wealth", yet, true liberals believe the stronger should support the weaker based on this premise.
It shouldn't matter how hard you worked for what you have obtained, you should help the others.
This may sound harsh, but guess what, my job in life is to protect and help my family. I demand that my children step up to the plate, and when they strike out, I will help them to get back up. I do not expect the govt to be my safety net. As a family we have limited funds, we are not the Bill Gates of the world. If that means, I don't want to pay higher taxes when I have health care because I believe Medicaid or care exists, and those taxes will take money away from my family than so be it.
FYI, we are not people who go out to dinner weekly, or to the movies just to kill 2 hrs. We are people who donate food to local soup kitchens, and our community.
Again this goes back to my theory that govt should be limited in my life. Raise our taxes to pay for govt programs, and we will be forced to cut something out to pay our bills. Who loses? Not my family, but our community. I am not about to miss a utility pmt so I can donate food to the soup kitchen.
