A book about women who have graduated from West Point. A good read for female candidates, cadets and alums as well as their parents. Couldn't hurt the male candidates to read about them, either.

As for the male candidates, I recommend "The Long Gray Line - The American Journey of West Point's Class of 1966" by Rick Atkinson.
I've found it extremely helpful as a reality/perspective check of life during and after West Point.

Another excellent book about women at West Point is Tough as Nails. It is written by a 1981 grad (2nd class of women admitted to WP) and is a humorous account of her 4 years there.

Reading that now! Porcelain on Steel was a really great read as well.

Absolutely American is a must for any candidate.
