Every school is different, and the way the academy weighs the gpa will be different. Sometimes it doesn't change at all.
E.g. My son was in the IB program for all 4 years of high school. 9th-12th grade. He didn't take just IB classes, but the entire program. CAS, TOK, diploma, etc... All 4 years, he held a 4.0 gpa. His class rank was #1. Yet; on his application/portal, his GPA stayed at 4.0. It didn't go any higher. While IB is international; AP is national; and yet some student's GPA changes, and others don't. Don't expect it to change, and don't expect it to stay the same.
But FWIW: Your GPA is only a small portion of the overall academic score. They give additional points for honor classes; additional for AP; additional for IB; additional for College/HS transfer; etc.... Then they add more points for your ACT/SAT, class rank, electives, etc... Don't worry about it if it doesn't change. You aren't being cheated out of anything.
