First time on the DODMERB section, so I'll introduce myself. I am a high school senior looking to get an NROTC Marine Option scholarship, and I had a few questions regarding the medical process if I were to receive a scholarship.
1) I am worried about my eyesight; it’s correctable up to 20/20, but I have -5.25 in both eyes (basically, I’m pretty close to blind as a bat). I would want to go ground, not aviation, so not being able to fly doesn't concern me.
2) I recently went on both Solodyn and Epiduo for mild-moderate acne. Would either of these be red flags for DODMERB? I started the Solodyn about two weeks ago, and the Epiduo today.
Also, two days ago I came down with bronchitis. The doctor prescribed Sandoz and an inhaler, only for the next week. I have never used an inhaler before, and I plan on never using it again. Will any of these things cause me a problem?
