So, I've been prepping and training for the CFA, which I plan on taking in a few days. Today, I just did a practice CFA by myself, and I wanted to see what you people think.
Here are the scores:

Basketball Throw: 50 ft
Pull-ups: 15
Shuttle run: 10.4 (although my normal is closer to 9.8)
Sit-ups: 96
Push-ups: 68
Mile run: 6:56

What do you think? As you can see, despite my practice, I'm still struggling with the shuttle run and Basketball Throw. Is it enough? Any tips?

The basketball throw is all about form, with how high your push-up and pull up counts are, you should be able to do much better. Search around on the forum, there is lots of a good advice, like this thread http://www.serviceacademyforums.com/showthread.php?t=26843

As for the shuttle run, it's all about how fast you can turn. Make sure that when you are turning you are not taking multiple small steps to slow down but rather planting your foot and pivoting. There are lots of great YouTube videos on improving shuttle run because it is a common agility test

The are umpteen threads that discuss scores of both successful and unsuccessful applicants. Since you asked, I'd say those scores are:

Amazing if you're a female
Mediocre for a male appointee

Lots of room for improvement.

I agree with Maplerock. Use the search tool and you will be able to view from previous years what many candidates have scored regarding the CFA and opinions of other posters.

If you're a guy, your scores are very similar to mine and I passed. Work on Basketball throw technique. If you practice sprinting, you can help improve your Shuttle Run and Mile run simultaneously. Try running a long distance and doing sprints (Turn as quick as possible).
