I was looking on my MOC's websites regarding nomination apps. It asks the question if the applicant has a Pre-Candidate file at the SA of your choice. Not sure what this is. My DS had applied for summer seminar at both USAFA & USNA. Is this sufficient?

Yes, if you've applied for summer programs at any of the academies, you have completed a pre-candidate questionnaire/file. The nominating source just wants to make sure you are applying to both them for the nomination and the service academy for admittance.

Yes, a pre-candidate file is essentially the application to a summer program at one of the academies. If the respective academies find you qualified based on the information you voluntarily gave, they will go on to grant candidate status.
