I am currently at Northwestern Preparatory School, and was wondering how KP goes about "qualifying" re-applicants? I have my entire application complete with the exception of my 1st semester transcript and nomination (did not have my interview yet). Also, what 2nd semester classes should I enroll in to have the best chance of an appointment from KP? Thanks!

Congrats on finding NWP. The Durbeck's have a very successfull program. If you follow their advice and work hard, the chances are good that you will find yourself at KP next year. Take Calculus, Chemistry and/or Physics for your 2nd semester. They seem to be the hardest to overcome at KP and the exposure will give you a leg up when you take them as a plebe. Our DS went to NWP and received nominations for USMMA and for USNA. He chose USMMA and is now at sea, loving it at KP, very happy with his choice. Best of luck to you!

Yeah it has been a great and very helpful program thus far! I'm just hoping cutbacks do not hurt my hard work that I have put in up here! I appreciate your information and wish your DS good luck!
