Present for upcoming Cadet to West Point

My friend is going to West Point in the Fall, and I want to give her a mug that is custom painted. Will she be allowed to bring that? I am not quite sure what the regulations are.
 
Or if you give it to her before she leaves for WP, her parents can mail it to her when the summer training is over.
 
She is allowed one small appliance. If she chooses a Keurig, she'll need a mug, so this is perfect. Her parents can bring it up on Aday.
 
The mug should be fine but wait and see which kid already has what (roommates) the Keurig my son insisted he would need has sat on my counter for the past 4 years. Three roommates, 3 Keurings... they only needed one. Then the next one had one and the next roommate. I think there is a bag in his old room of presents we got him that never went back with him as he really didnt need or have room for much. Once he made it through Beast he did ask for a nice watch. That he still has.

Current plebe here, and most people, including myself, had black G-Shock watches. I got mine for $40 at my local Target. Some people had other brands that were cheaper. To be honest, you just want a black watch that has an alarm and that is able to withstand the training. Don't get anything too expensive. I saw several pricey G-Shocks break couple weeks into Beast.
