I am currently applying to West Point and am eligible for a Presidential nomination, but am unable to find a whole lot of instructions on how to submit the nomination request. I have been able to find sample request letters and such and know how to fill out the paperwork, but I don't know where to send it all. Do I upload it somewhere on the candidate portal, or do I mail it in? Can someone point me in the right direction?

You as a candidate cannot apply. Your parent must apply. They must prove that they have met the requirements.

Maybe my pea brain is confused, but as far as I recall there are no essays or reccomendations required. If Mom or Dad meet the requirements than it is automatic.

Send it to admissions. Here's a sample application with (I assume) the correct address as the inner address on the "business letter".

Pima is correct in that there are no essays or recommendations, but the candidate is the one that applies. You need to fill out the nomination request (as in Kinnem's sample) and attach the supporting documents from parent that shows eligibility for the nom. It should then be sent via priority mail, with a tracking number, to admissions(The address on Kinnem's sample) Also make sure to send supporting documentation, such as active duty record, retirement pay eligibility, or point summary. bailey, haven't you already sent in the Pres. Nom form for USAFA? Its pretty much the same thing. For each service academy you are applying for, you send a separate nomination request to each academy's admissions office.

I did send in the nomination request for USAFA, but was having trouble finding where exactly to send for WP. Thanks all for your help.

Thank you everyone for your assistance! I am sending the request in today!
