Presidential Nomination, LOE, Class Profile

Hey Y'all,
I just have a few questions in this application process. I recently received a LOE and I have a Presidential nomination. Is it possible to receive an appointment before the Congressional nominations go out (Oct. timeframe)? I know they said they eliminated rolling admissions, however, I only ask because my brother received his in October for the class of 2016. On another note, when will the class of 2017 profile be released? Thank you for y'all's time.
 
I believe I saw under the admissions information thread something saying there could be a round of appointments go out before MOC deadlines. Any word on a 2017 profile?
 
LOA, Presidential Nom

My daughter had an LOA and because of my military status received a Presidential Nomination. She received her appointment on Oct 5. A few weeks later the letters from the CODEL arrived and we had to inform them (gladly) that she already had her appointment. Not sure how much of an impact it had as her packet was very strong (4.75 GPA, high ACT & SAT scores) but she was recruited for swimming.
