I would like to know what decent scores are for the test. I just had my interview today and the PMS said that I have a really good chance of getting the scholarship. The only part left of the application that I need to complete is the fitness test. I will be taking that on Thursday and hope to have all my information in in time for the September board. I know what the scores are to receive the presidents award, but those seem really really high. (80 some push ups, like a 5 mile run and a lot of sit ups.) So could anyone please tell me for AROTC applicants what bad scores are, average scores are, and excellent scores are?

You don't take the whole presidential fitness test. You only do pushups (1 min), curlups (1 min) and 1 mile run. They use the presidential fitness test because physical education teachers are familiar with administering it.
Don't worry too much about it. If you are an athlete in decent shape you should pass.

Review the standards for the APFT and practice that. If you can pass this test easily you will be good. You MUST pass it for your scholarship to be paid in the fall when you start school.

alright, thank you for your help, but just out of curiosity, does the fitness test really hold any weight in the application process as far as awarding scholarships go, cause i have heard its not a big deal at all. Also, I know I should pass the APFT easily. I know the APFT is different, but for now with the presidents test i am sitting at 50 pushups in a minute, around 55 situps and a 6:05 mile

You will have no problem with those scores! Those are well above average for people just trying to get into ROTC.

Well, i finally took my presidents fitness test today, and sent the results in by 2 day mail so there shouldnt be any problems with me making the september board, but you never know...I did pretty good with the test, and the results were in general better than my practice ones. 70 pushups in one minute, 78 situps, however I did my mile last, and was already a little tired, so my time dropped to 6:28. I guess now all i do is sit and wait.

Man 70 push-ups in one minute?!?! I can only do 73 for the CFA, and thats two minutes. You're a serious beast!
