I just got a letter in the mail today saying that I got my congressman's principal nomination!!
I have taken the SATs 3x already and feel as if I did fairly well (740M 560V 680W) but I had trouble trying to raise my verbal score. So I signed up for the December ACTs to see if I would do better on that test. But now I am not sure if i should still take the test... Any thoughts?

Just curious...has anyone heard any results from interviews with Senator Sherrod Brown's committee? Do the MOC'S notify candidates even if they do not recieve a nomination?

A principal nomination means you were the number one candidate on a MOC's slate of nominees.

Before you waste a Saturday morning, you should call your Regional Commander in the admissions office. He can give you the best advice.
If you are qualified to receive an appointment it may be on it's way to you.

harmi: Most MOC's will send a letter if they interview and are not chosen.
It is early yet - many MOC's won't choose until late December or early January.

A principal nomination means you were the number one candidate on a MOC's slate of nominees.
One step further - it means the MOC ranked the list and ranked you #1. Also the Academy is required by law to offer you an appointment if you are qualified.

I don't know the answer to this sorry... but I wanted to let you know to not worry about it yet if you didn't hear. I interviewed with both of PA's senators 3 weeks and 2 weeks ago and haven't heard anything yet, but with my congressman they let me know about my nomination within 6 days! I expected to not hear anything for at least a month or two. I think it all depends on the board. So just hang in there, don't stress yet, and good luck!!
