Hello, I was wondering if there was anyone out there who is qualified to answer questions about enlisted soldiers going to Service Academies. I have read that the minimum requirements include having a 23 or higher on your ACT or 1500s on your SAT. However, these seem a little low for admission. If anyone has any information please feel free to message me or share in the thread below. Thank you.

USNA has a senior enlisted advisor (Senior Chief Maxwell) whose primary job is to advise fleet personnel about paths to USNA, including the requirements, how to go about applying, what you need for NAPS vs. direct appointment, etc. I would check with him if you have an interest in USNA.

I don't know if the other SAs have a similar position but assume they probably do (I KNOW -- I should NEVER assume ). I'm sure someone here can enlighten you or you can check with the Admissions offices at USMA and USAFA.

For the USMA Admissions Office; MAJ Liebhaber is the "Soldier Admissions Officer". His phone is 845-938-5780.

Good luck and stay focused!

Minimum requirements are for the prep school, not a direct appointment.
