Promoted Plebe

My DS says that it is something that the CTO made up to help keep them in check with each other and just a made up promotion. Other promotions were a CC andCX besides 1 Plebes PC1, PC2 and PC3. Is this true or is he just down playing his promotion. Says he now has the Main Deck, his floor to keep clean and make sure the plebe's rooms look good.

Someone else told me that they have their eyes on these plebes that were promoted and that they feel that these plebe's have risen out of their class and are expected to shine above the others. Is that true?

To give the overall sentiment of a typical midshipman it doesn't matter what a midshipman does regimentally as a plebe. They have a long way to go. In the end a plebe is a plebe is a plebe, it doesn't matter if they've been given a title such as Company Rep, Honor Plebe, 1 Plebe PC1 (whatever that is), etc, etc
 
Thanks. Just wondering if this happens to all companies or if this particular CTO just made it up for this company.
 
plebe pc is not a big deal. this happenes depending on who the cto is or who the pc is. it is a wa to give the plebes some form of leadership training. it also allows the plebes to see how hard it is to do a job such as PC, CX, or CC. This is not only a leadership tol, but one used to turn the plebes who dont care and always complain a chance to see what tit is like for the first class tht run the company.

In my plebe year we had on CTo who did this, one CTO who did not and one PC that did. overall i think it made the company run smoother. especially due to tghe fact that the accountability taker changed after two weeks.
 
thanks for the info. It is nice to get information from others as to what is really going on at the school instead of your DS's answer that it was done as a joke.
