PW car rentals...?

OK- it is my 4th USAFA parents weekend event. Unlike my uber-organized-DS, I did not keep info re: car rentals for that particular weekend. WHAT WAS I THINKING??

I do recall a wonderful contact re: cheaper-the-cheap car rental options...can someone remind me of this link??
(But...please...do not tell EVERYyone else! snicker)

I also remember waiting until the last minute and getting great rates. Was I dreaming this scenario??

Please..can someone look at their organized files and share the car rental info?

Hotwire work for me! Got my best car rental rates within a month of PW at DIA.

I would typically reserve a car now but not pay for it -- (often thru USAA with their discount codes or thru CarRentals.com.) then I'd check every week and the prices often went down. About a month out was when it was best it seemed -- and then I might do the pay now deal with Hotwire.

Hotwire Experience

I just looked at my account history for last year. We got a car via Hotwire that was booked on August 1, 2012. I paid a daily rate for a full size vehicle of $23.95 plus tax and recovery charges, etc of $70.75. We rented from Wednesday to Tuesday of Parents Weekend. Total was $214.45. The vendor was Alamo Rent a Car, which is very user friendly. They said pick from this row...and we selected a brand new Dodge Caravan mini-van...which was perfect for luggage and bringing our son's bicycle from USAFA to Breckenridge. I'll be doing Hotwire again in a few weeks. Mike
