I received my unranked congressional nomination (OH-13) in December and was just informed this weekend of my medical and academic qualifications. I knew that I was physically qualified so I now have 3 Q status. What happens from here? I looked at the class profile on the USMA website and saw that about 54% of qualified candidates get an appointment. Is this accurate? Is there anything I can do to improve my standing? Thanks.

How exactly were you informed of your academic/physical qualifications?

Now comes the hardest part, waiting. The most you can do at this point is keep updating your profile with current achievements in leadership and ECs.

Not sure where you got the information "about 54% qualified candidates get an appointment," but the appointment offer rate to FQ candidates for the class of 2012 83%, 2011 80%, 2010 76%. It can be broken down into sub categories - from 100% to 75% (for class of 2012) . My source is West Point Board of Visitor Meeting Notes, June 2012.

I got it from the West Point class profile page. 2,165 are qualified and 1,183 are admitted, which is 54%.

Agree with My3sons2017. Looking at the data referenced by MemberLG, if you divide "Accepted" by "Fully Qualified" you end up in the same ballpark for other classes as class of 2017 calc that Jarhead1775 did....
