Can someone school me as to what DODMERB will do with a QuantiFERON result after a positive PPD?

Obviously negative means negative, but is an positive QFT result a DQ? I am confused. Or, does a Positive QFT then simply require a negative chest xray (to R/O TB)?

Moving this to the DODMERB forum where it is more likely to get a response.

Try calling the Help Desk at DODMERB directly. If you are a parent of an over-18 candidate, DODMERB will require written authorization from that person before discussing specifics with you.

Help desk reply

The help desk tells me that the purpose for this test is to rule out a false positive skin test. If the QF is positive, it simply is documented proof that a TB skin test is no longer required. I was also told that a positive QF is not a DQ.

Thanks all.
