I'm currently at the end of my junior year. The first two years of high school, I had about a 3.7 and a 3.8 GPA, respectively. This year, i'll end up with about a 2.5 GPA. (I switched from public school to a private school, which was much more difficult.) I almost lost hope in getting into West Point, until it was determined that I would be switching back to the much easier public school next year.

I think I could muster something very close to a 4.0 next year. My question is: Can I count my quarter 1 grades from my senior year towards my nomination? (which I guess I would be applying for in November?).

You need to check when your nom is due. For NC, the 1st round app were due by mid October (second round is the interview) In that case you would not have any grades to submit, however, if your MOCS do interviews than by the time they do, you would have 1st quarter grades.
