I see that the deadline for the first board is October 7th. Does this mean I need to have all my documents done and the interview? or is it just my documents and waiting for an interview?

How long does it generally take to get an interview after all your documents are turned in?

My application was verified within 48 hours. You're then given a list of nearby ROTC programs and responsible to schedule and go to your interview with a PMS.

It depends on the schedule of the PMS. It also depends on how soon the PMS submits his/her evaluation.

closer to deadline will be harder to get on the schedule for some PMS if you are not interested in attending that school. If you can combine a visit with a PMS interview it could show you are at least considering the school or best if able to schedule with visit of your top schools.
