Question about ROTC Documentation

Hi Everyone,

I am a naturalized US citizen, so I was wondering what documentation I would need for ROTC. I have a birth certificate from a foreign country. I have a US passport, but I do not have the naturalization certificate because it costs an extra $1.1k, and it would take around a year to process so I would have to start the process now if that is required. Is a passport sufficient for ROTC, or do I need a naturalization certificate too? What other documentation is required and at what point in time.

Thanks in advance

My DS applied for USMA and he’s a naturalized citizen. We did submit naturalization certificate. Did you not get one when you or your parents applied? It’s free. Even if you have a US Passport, you will eventually need your naturalization certificate for FAFSA or other related purposes.

You will need whatever documents were used to obtain your initial US Passport. If you want fancy naturalization certificates for framing, maybe those cost money. But if you need a replacement because you lost one....
