Question about Yuks

I have a quick question. When did Yearlings start to be called Yuks? I had not heard that term before. Thanks.

Since my time ('88 grad). The term was around when I was there but was definitely a derogatory one like "Smack". Something a firstie might say jokingly (or condescendingly) to a yearling he didn't care for much. But definitely not something your parents would have ever heard (much less used!) like it is now!
