This is my first post; so I hope I'm doing this right. I happened upon this site today, and loved reading all the helpful advice. I'm an elementary teacher, and husband is a 1982 grad of USNA.
My daughter attended NASS, 2nd session, June 2010. She loved her experience! This experience solidified the fact that she passionately wants to attend the Naval Academy.
She received a call from the Naval Academy Admissions Office, and they gave her a user name and password to log on to her candidate file.
The USNA website stated that if your preliminary application was strong enough you should receive a letter in the mail. Many of her friends from NASS have said that they have all received something in the mail. She has not received anything in the mail, and is very concerned that she is missing a part of the application. What could she be missing? Did she receive a call instead of a letter? She is confused and trying to understand. She is very concerned that somehow she is being viewed as not a good candidate. My daughter received the Color Man award for her company during NASS, but she does not think that receiving that award means that she would be looked at as a good candidate. I disagree with her. If anyone can help us sort this out; it would mean a lot to this mom! This is such an emotional process because it means so much to Katie. Thank you!:help
