Background: I was informed by DoDMERB that I was medically disqualified because my distant visual acuity was not correctable to 20/20. However, when I went to a private optometrist today she informed me that my vision IS correctable to 20/20....It's just the fact that in one of my eyes I am slightly nearsighted, while in the other I am farsighted, which throws off my perception some....my uncorrected acuity in my right eye is 20/25 while it is 20/30 in my left.
Question: With this being said, could I have the private optometrist send in information to DoDMERB if I print of the form from the website and would it be able to correct the disqualification?
