It means they have received it and are likely not going to offer a letter of assurance, but it is promising enough that they want to keep it under consideration. Be sure to send in any updates of grades, sports, leadership, other recognition. Most candidates do not receive LOA's, and your application is in pretty early, so keep the faith. Good luck!
