I completed my application and received a nomination a few weeks ago. How long should it be before I hear something?

If I don't hear anything soon, are my chances of receiving an appointment much less?

Also!!! I am in college and I just received straight A's, but I have neither an English or Math class. How bad does the lack of those "traditional" classes look on my application? ((my SAT score is 1200, am I a joke??))

Thanks!

I would suggest re-taking them in February. I did better on my ACT than SAT, so maybe you can bring those two up. Also, keep in touch with your liaison officer to see how u can better improve your chances. Otherwise, you may be on the NWL. Most appointments come during Feb-March, so stay optimistic.:thumb:

I was under the impression that because I am in college, my SAT and ACT scores don't matter as much, episodically since I aced my first semester.

A 1200 is not a joke at all. You're already above the national average, although West Point cadets are (judging by the statistics from the past few years) always above this. Make sure when you retake them, you include the writing section. I did a lot better when I retook them and I am retaking them again actually in a few weeks.
