I am 21 years old, will be 22 in September and have already completed a year of college, after working for one year out of high school. Am I already considered 'old' as compared to the majority of other plebes? Also, would USNA try to house me with other plebes my age or is it based on something else?

While you would be an older plebe, you're really not old. USNA has a wide range of ages in their student body. Remember they have mids who have prior years in the fleet. If you're concern is that you'll be oder, don't be, its not a big deal at all. As far as rooming is concerned i think USNA just mixes everyone, but don't hold me to it.

One I know of has done three years at College and then done Plebe Year at USNA. Probably twenty two or something when started. If that is what you want go for it. You are not "Old" as others from the fleet may be a lot older than you are. You will get birthing in Bancroft without age discrimination. You may be with an eighteen year old nineteen or a twenty year old some with former college or a former Marine with ribbons you can't recognize. They get to wear them and they look good on the Mid Uniforms. Some with the "Purple Heart".

You are not too old. Prior enlisted men and women, those who have one or more years of college are among the ranks of Plebes. While there is all 4 year classes in each company, Plebes room with Plebes. As long as you don't turn 23 before I-Day, you are fine.
